Dawn Volante Brown finds joy in the journey—not only in milestones, but in the shape of growth and resilience through life’s unexpected turns. Grounded in faith, Dawn is known for her warmth, authenticity, and passion for building meaningful connections. She believes joy isn’t something we wait for, it’s something we choose, even in hard places.

Her personal story reflects that truth. A chance online meeting in the dial-up days led to a long-distance connection with her late husband Andrew, who moved to Minnesota where they married in 1999. Together, they built a life full of love, antiques, and landscaping projects, and later adopted their children, David and Allison. After Andrew’s passing in 2011, Dawn embraced a new chapter with her children and, later, her husband Shawn Brown. Their blended family grew to include their son, Michael. Through every season, Dawn continues to find strength, gratitude, and joy, and anchored by love, perseverance, and faith.

Dawn’s career began at Nahan in 1998 as a part-time receptionist while attending college. Originally planning to teach, she shifted paths to better understand her dad’s love for “ink on paper.” Over 26 years, she has grown into the role of Vice President of Business Services, known for uniting teams, aligning goals, and creating a culture where people thrive.

Outside of work, Dawn is active in the women’s ministry and serves on two nonprofit boards. She finds deep purpose in encouraging others and walking alongside them—believing life’s richest chapters are written through faith, connection, and choosing joy together.
