Speaker Bio:
Eunice is the Director of Multicultural Services at St. Cloud Financial Credit Union where she has the opportunity to utilize her talents to ensure that our members and workforce represent the diverse communities that we serve. Eunice holds a BA in psychology and an MS in Social Responsibility from St. Cloud State University. She was the Administrator of Create CommUNITY for ten years, an initiative with a mission to dismantle racism through systemic change and make St. Cloud and Central Minnesota a welcoming place for all. In her role as an administrator, she worked with area leaders, cities, schools, colleges, businesses, students, community partners, and organizations in advancing its mission, hosting, and organizing its hallmark annual event called the “Conversation on Race,” which brings over 300 community members regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, class, or socioeconomic status to have a dialogue on race in a safe space. She is a licensed, Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and promotes and provides corporate and professional development training, including anti-racism and cultural humility training.
Eunice founded the Jugaad Leadership Program (JLP) to train, place, and connect emerging leaders of color on boards, commissions, internship placements, and financial literacy and advocacy skills to be influential and successful leaders in Central Minnesota and to build social capital. The BIPOC program is supported by the City of St. Cloud and its mayor, Dave Kleis, the University of Minnesota Extension Program, St. Cloud Technical and Community College, Microbiologics, Centracare Health, and several foundations and partners.
She has always been passionate about contributing and making a difference in her community. She serves on boards and volunteers countless hours on different impactful service projects locally, nationally, and globally. She serves on boards including Tricap, the City of St. Cloud Charter Commission, Minnesota Governor’s Council on Martin Luther King Day Jr. Holiday, St. Cloud Technical and Community College Foundation Board, the African Women Alliance, and Stearns County Human Service Committee, among others. Eunice has gained several recognitions for her outstanding accomplishments in the community and beyond. She received a Rock-on Award for Civic Engagement and Leadership from the Mayor of St. Cloud. In 2015, Eunice was the first African to receive an Alumni Service Award from St. Cloud State University and the first African to be selected and recognized as one of St. Cloud’s Top 5 under 40. Eunice was chosen as one of the 2019 Women in Business honorees by St. Paul Business Journal. And in 2019, for her distinguished leadership, Eunice received a Presidential Award from the St. Clouds Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She was honored as a change maker by the St. Cloud Financial Credit Union in 2022.
Eunice loves traveling and reading to her three-year-old son.
